"FAMILY GUY" CELEBRATES EMMY NOMINATIONS WITH MINI-MARATHON SUNDAY, AUGUST 16, ON FOX

FAMILY GUY, one of only two animated series ever to receive an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series, will celebrate with a three-episode mini-marathon of the season's best episodes. The marathon, airing Sunday, Aug. 16 (8:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, will feature back-to-back episodes of FAMILY GUY, including "Road to Germany" (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), "I Dream of Jesus" (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and "Family Gay" (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT).

In the "Road to Germany" (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Mort accidentally steps into a time machine, and Brian and Stewie follow him in order to bring him back. When they discover they're in Poland on the day of the Nazi invasion, things go from bad to worse and the trio has to find a way back to Quahog safely.

In "I Dream of Jesus" (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT), after Peter (voiced by Emmy-nominee Seth MacFarlane) re-discovers his love for the painfully annoying yet seductively catchy tune "The Bird's the Word," Brian and Stewie decide to take matters into their own hands to ensure that the song will never be heard again! On the verge of tears, Peter goes to every record store in Quahog to track down his beloved jingle, and ends up running into a familiar face.

In "Family Gay" (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT), to help pay off his incredible debt, Peter participates in medical experiments to make some extra cash. First, he gets injected with the "Seth Rogen" gene (guest-voiced by Rogen) that "gives you the appearance of being funny even though you haven't actually done anything funny." Then he is injected with a gene that leads him to a new mate, leaving a broken-hearted Lois behind. Although the family is crushed, they quickly realize the most important thing is that Peter is happy.

The new season of FAMILY GUY kicks off Sunday, Sept. 27 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

FAMILY GUY is a 20th Century Fox Television production. Seth MacFarlane is creator/executive producer, Mark Hentemann and Steve Callaghan are executive producers/show-runners and David A. Goodman, Chris Sheridan and Danny Smith are executive producers.
