LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC has picked up a full season of its sophomore drama "Castle" while FOX is asking its second-year drama "Lie to Me" for three additional scripts.
"Castle" posted a season high 9.88 million viewers and a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49 last night but nevertheless continues to hemorrhage its "Dancing With the Stars" lead-in (16.51 million viewers, 3.5 rating among adults 18-49).
Meanwhile, "Lie to Me" is averaging about 7.88 million viewers to date this season, including a 2.9 rating among adults 18-49. Much like "Castle," said numbers are off significantly from its "House" lead-in (13.47 million viewers, 5.3 rating among adults 18-49).
Both "Castle" and "Lie to Me" opened the fall with 13-episode commitments.
