UNCLE NIGEL (TBS, New!) - Andy Breckman ("Monk") has scored a cast-contingent pilot order from the cable channel for an hourlong comedy about "straitlaced and by-the-book" Philadelphia police detective Nigel Wells, who "winds up clashing with his nephew Ronnie, who's also on the force but less accomplished and more prone to screwing things up." Said pickup marks the network's first hourlong pilot since its "Very Funny" rebranding. Breckman penned the project and is executive producing. Casting and a director search is currently underway for a potential March production start.
