THE X FACTOR (FOX) - Former "American Idol" co-star Paula Abdul and current "X Factor" U.K. co-star Cheryl Cole are reportedly in talks to serve as judges on Simon Cowell's American incarnation, due in the fall of 2011. Abdul had widely been pegged as a potential participant due to the obvious connection to Cowell. In addition to judging, each member of the "X Factor" panel mentors a group of singers, becoming de facto competitors themselves.
