BROTHERS & SISTERS (ABC) - Rob Lowe is departing the Sunday soap after four seasons, Deadline.com reports. It's not clear how his character, Senator Robert McCallister, will be written out of the series. It's believed Lowe will transition to a lead role on one of the network's pilots under consideration for the 2010-11 season. "We would like to keep Rob at ABC," ABC chief Steve McPherson said in a statement. "We feel he should be anchoring his own franchise. We are in talks now."
CSI: NY (CBS) - Madchen Amick ("My Own Worst Enemy") has scored a recurring role on the veteran drama. She'll play a romantic interest for Gary Sinise's character, however no specifics were given. It's not clear when her first episode will air.
MATADORS (A.K.A. MONTAGUES & CAPULETS) (ABC) - The Alphabet has commissioned a pilot for the drama project, about "two feuding families, one in the Chicago district attorney's office and the other opposing them in the city's most influential private law firm." Jack Orman is behind the hour, which was announced back in September. Sony Pictures Television is the studio attached.
TRUE BLUE (ABC, New!) - "Big Shots" creator Jon Harmon Feldman has landed a pilot order from the Alphabet for a new drama about "a group of San Francisco homicide detectives reunite to solve the murder of one of their own, in the process reviving old passions, rivalries and friendships." Feldman penned the hour for ABC Studios and is executive producing alongside Chris Brancato and Bert Salke.
