By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

NIKITA (The CW, New!) - "La Femme Nikita" is returning to the small screen, this time on The CW. The netlet has greenlit production on a pilot to the project, which is set up at the Warner Bros. Television-based Wonderland Sound and Vision. The company's McG and Peter Johnson then will executive produce the hour alongside writer Craig Silverstein ("Bones"). As for specifics, the singularly monikered "Nikita" will track an assassin for a top-secret government organization who goes rogue and the new assassin who is trained to replace her. Luc Besson created the original incarnation, which began as a French feature in 1990 before being remade into a film ("Point of No Return") and a television series (for five seasons on USA) here in the States.

THE PINK HOUSE (NBC, New!) - Rick Weiner & Kenny Schwartz ("American Dad") have landed a pilot commitment from the Peacock for a new comedy about "the friendship between two guys who take a risk and move out to LA to begin the next chapter of their post-college lives." The multi-camera half-hour is set up at Universal Media Studios with Weiner, Schwartz and Scott Stuber executive producing.

UNTITLED RICHARD HATEM PROJET (ABC, New!) - Richard Hatem ("Miracles") is back in business with the Alphabet, this time for a new drama about "a beautiful female detective who teams with a disgraced ex-cop to solve crimes and untangle the conspiracy that sent him underground." The network has given a pilot commitment to the hour, which is set up at ABC Studios. Gary Fleder ("Happy Town") is already on board to direct and executive produce alongside Hatem, Bert Salke and Chris Brancato. The latter duo are also executive producing fellow ABC drama pilot "True Blue."

UNTITLED WYOMING PROJECT (The CW, New!) - Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino ("Gilmore Girls") are returning to the netlet with a new drama set on a Wyoming horse farm. The untitled hour, which comes from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, has a pilot order from the network. The pair co-wrote the project and are executive producing.

WHO GETS THE PARENTS? (ABC, New!) - Joe Port and Joe Wiseman (NBC's "The IT Crowd") have scored a pilot order from the Alphabet for a new comedy about "adult siblings who are rocked by their parents' divorce." The multi-camera comedy, which the pair wrote and will executive produce, comes from ABC Studios. Port and Wiseman were also behind ABC's 2008 pilot "Five Year Plan," which wasn't ordered to series.
