ABC Nixes "Castle" Sunday Stunt

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC has pulled its upcoming two-night "Castle" stunt.

The sophomore drama had been slated to open a two-part installment on Sunday, March 21 at 10:00/9:00c following "Desperate Housewives" with the concluding hour airing in its regular Monday, 10:00/9:00c time period on March 22.

Both hours will instead air in the show's regular home: Monday, March 22 and Monday, March 29. It's understood the network feels the new season of "Dancing With the Stars," due on March 22, will ultimately provide a larger platform.

Meanwhile, multiple trade publications are reporting the Alphabet has renewed "Brothers & Sisters" for a fifth season. A network spokesperson however could not confirm said development at press time.
