MULTIPLE GRAMMY AND MUSIC MOGUL JAY-Z JOINS BETTY WHITE AS MUSICAL GUEST ON NBC'S 'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE' ON MAY 8 NEW YORK, NY - April 19, 2010 - Music mogul JAY-Z joins the legendary Betty White as musical guest on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" show May 8. JAY-Z will make his third appearance as musical guest in studio 8H. Multiple Grammy Award winner, Shawn "JAY-Z" Carter has dominated the rap industry and set trends for a generation. JAY-Z has had numerous number ones on the Billboard Hot 100, including his latest hit "Empire State of Mind" featuring Alicia Keys; additionally, as an artist, he holds the record for most number one albums by a solo artist on the Billboard 200. In 2009, JAY-Z entered into a partnership with Live Nation to form Roc Nation. Through Roc Nation, JAY-Z released the Blueprint 3, his eleventh number one album, putting him ahead of Elvis for most number one albums by a solo artist. "Saturday Night Live" is from SNL Studios in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels. Steve Higgins and Marci Klein are producers.
