BETTER TOGETHER (ABC) - Greg Malins ("How I Met Your Mother") has reportedly join the recently ordered comedy as an executive producer. The writer/producer was behind fellow ABC pilot "Freshmen," which isn't moving forward to series. Shana Goldberg-Meehan created the Warner Bros. Television-based "Together," which stars Debra Jo Rupp, Jake Lacy, Jennifer Finnigan, Joanna Garcia, Josh Cooke and Kurt Fuller.
BLEEP MY DAD SAYS (CBS) - Ryan Devlin is reportedly being cut from the comedy pilot, which is said to be approaching a series commitment. He played Henry Bennett, the son of William Shatner's title character, who moves back home when his old man can no longer take care of himself. No reason was given about the decision. David Kohan, Justin Halpern, Max Mutchnick and Patrick Schumacker all co-wrote the half-hour, which comes from Warner Bros. Television.
NAPOLEON DYNAMITE (FOX, New!) - Jared and Jerusha Hess are developing an animated take on their cult 2004 movie for the network. Jon Heder and Efran Ramirez are reportedly on board the project, additional specifics of which weren't given.
NO ORDINARY FAMILY (ABC) - "Chuck" executive producer Ali Adler is departing the NBC drama to join the Alphabet's freshman series. Said news was broke via her Twitter account: "Decision 2 leave #chuck family for #NoOrdinaryFamily was a tuff 1. Love @joshschwartz76 + evry1 I worked w & all amzg fans. Long live Chuck!" There she'll serve alongside Greg Berlanti, Jon Harmon Feldman, Morgan Wandell and David Semel, who helmed the pilot.
SCHOOL PRIDE (NBC) - The Peacock is moving forward with the reality project, which "follow students, teachers and parents as they motivate their community to renovate their school." The network ordered a backdoor pilot special back in January, to air in the fall. Cheryl Hines and Denise Cramsey are the executive producers of the project, which is set up at Horizon Alternative Television. No episode number was given.
SUPER ERUPTION (Syfy, New!) - Richard Burgi ("Desperate Housewives") and Juliet Aubrey ("Primeval") are set to topline one of the network's upcoming originals, about a super volcano that erupts in Yellowstone Park. They'll play a firefighter and volcanologist, respectively, who attempt to contain the event. Matt Codd is helming the project, production of which began last week in Bulgaria.
THE WHOLE TRUTH (ABC) - Co-star Joely Richardson is said to be exiting the Alphabet's newly ordered drama. She played the female lead, District Attorney Kathryn Peale, in the series, a legal drama which tells cases from both the prosecution and defense's point of view. The report details her decision as a personal one to spend more time with her family. It's understood Richardson signed onto the project with the contingency that production shift to New York should it make it to series. Warner Bros. Television and Jerry Bruckheimer Television are co-producing.
