CRAIG KILBORN MAKES RETURN TO TELEVISION: "THE KILBORN FILE" TO PREMIERE ON SELECT FOX TELEVISION STATIONS STARTING JUNE 28th

NEW YORK -- "The Kilborn File," a new half-hour program featuring comedian and talk show host Craig Kilborn, will debut this summer for a six-week run on the Fox Television Stations. The announcement was made by Greg Meidel, President, Twentieth Television and Frank Cicha, SVP of Programming, Fox Television Stations.

The program, which marks a return to television for Kilborn after a six-year hiatus, will feature the host's humorous and opinionated take on pop culture and current events. Celebrities and human interest guests will join him for signature segments, such as the rapid-fire "5 Questions" and a rotating "Power Panel" that will weigh-in on the day's big issues, as well as a cavalcade of all-new Kilborn-branded comedy that will debut throughout the series.

Meidel stated: "Delivering topical, sharp, witty humor is Craig Kilborn's specialty and we are thrilled that he will place his unique comedy stamp on the talk show format when he premieres this summer on select Fox Television Stations. We are very excited to bring a talent like Craig Kilborn back to television."

Premiering June 28, 2010, "The Kilborn File," will be presented on the Fox Television Stations in the following markets (all times local): New York (7 PM), Los Angeles (6:30 PM), Philadelphia (7 PM), Boston (7 PM), Phoenix (10:30 PM), Austin (10 PM) and Detroit (7:30 PM).

Cicha added: "We've been looking for the right opportunity to do a program like this for some time, so we didn't hesitate when Craig approached us with the idea for this show a half hour, first run, day-and-date program that can run in multiple dayparts and is compatible with both news and comedy."

"The Kilborn File," produced by Twentieth Television, will be executive produced by Craig Kilborn and co-executive produced by Michael Dugan. Lon Rosen, of Lagardere Unlimited, negotiated the deal and will serve as a producer.

In regards to the announcement, Kilborn simply said: "Mom, I'm home."

Kilborn added: "The last few years of triathlons and charity work have been fulfilling, but fulfillment is overrated. Let's get it on."

"The Kilborn File" will film in Los Angeles in front of a live studio audience.

Michael Dugan, co-executive producer, added: "Whether you call him Mr. Positive, The King Of Normal, or His Royal Humbleness, Kilby is back and we're all excited. Seriously, let's get it on."

About Craig Kilborn

Craig Kilborn earned a full basketball scholarship to Montana State University, where he "led the Big Sky in turnovers" and realized his true talents lay a few feet above the court in the broadcast booth.

He began his television journey in the nation's 110th largest market: Salinas/Monterey/Santa Cruz. For 3 years, Kilborn played bocce ball with the locals near Cannery Row, covered the Gilroy garlic festival, and honed his humorous sportscasting style at KCBA-TV.

Next up: hosting the "feel good edition" of ESPN's Sportscenter, where Kilborn gained a loyal fan base with his irreverent style. Still echoing through the halls of Bristol are Craig's colorful catchphrases such as: "Jumanji!", "Oh, precious," and "Release, rotation splash!"

Comedy Central snatched Kilborn away from ESPN and built "The Daily Show" around him. During his 3 year run, TV Guide named "The Daily Show" the Best Late Night Comedy.

The next stop for Kilborn was the CBS "Late Late Show" where he delighted his audience with 5 Questions, Yambo, and Sebastian The Asexual Icon. Kilborn also made a memorable appearance in the movie "Old School".
