LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- It looks like "Wife Swap" and "Primetime: What Would You Do?" could both be back next season.
Network spokespersons for both series confirm the remaining originals are being held for the time being, either for later this summer or even next year.
It's understood ABC has seven episodes of "Wife Swap" yet to air and at least three more installments of "What Would You Do?"
The Alphabet had originally planned to continue with "Swap" originals in the Friday, 8:00/7:00c hour through the summer but switched to second runs on Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, "What Would You Do?" had been set to continue its third cycle beginning Tuesday, June 29 at 10:00/9:00c. ABC has instead moved up its launch of "Primetime: Mind Games" a full month from Tuesday, July 20 to Tuesday, June 22 at 10:00/9:00c.
