Celebs from Across the Country Music and Entertainment Worlds Rock Their Fashion Favorites Live from the CMT MUSIC AWARDS Red Carpet

NASHVILLE - June 1, 2010 - Country stars, rock stars and some of America's most-loved celebs will step out in their designer best at the CMT MUSIC AWARDS RED CARPET 2010, hosted by THE SINGING BEE'S Melissa Peterman, LIVE on Wednesday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com. Peterman and CMT's Evan Farmer will report live from the star-studded red carpet with exclusive interviews, candid moments and a first look at the fashion choices of country's biggest stars. Throughout the one-hour red carpet show, fans watching at home can get the inside scoop as artists stop by the CMT Skype candid camera.

This year's red carpet promises to be bigger than ever as the event coincides with the annual CMA Music Festival in downtown Nashville, drawing tens-of-thousands of country music fans from around the globe. Hundreds of fans line the carpet each year for a glimpse, and sometimes an autograph, of their favorite country star. This year, fans can further join in the fun and submit their own red carpet questions for consideration to Peterman via @Followtheblonde or @FollowCMT on Twitter in the coming weeks. Peterman will also serve as backstage correspondent during the 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS.

Hosted by Kid Rock, the 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS will broadcast LIVE from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 9 on CMT and CMT.com. Country music's biggest stars are slated to perform, including Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band, with more to be announced. Presenters will include celebrity cook Paula Deen, 'American Idol's' Kara Dioguardi, the NFL's Terrell Owens, actress Hayden Panettiere, NASCAR legend Richard Petty and 'Saturday Night Live's' Kenan Thompson. In addition, country superstars Trisha Yearwood and Zac Brown Band are scheduled to present.

Peterman, the host of CMT's #1-rated series of 2009, THE SINGING BEE, recently starred in her first televised special MELISSA PETERMAN: AM I THE ONLY ONE and will star in the pilot WORKING CLASS, both for CMT. She has also starred in "Reba" as well as other television shows, including "Surviving Suburbia," "Rita Rocks," "Just Shoot Me" and "Living with Abandon." She has hosted CMT's COMEDY STAGE, as well as the annual Hollywood Bowl's "The Sound of Music" Sing-A-Long. Peterman was recently signed to Big Machine Records to release her first comedy album and is currently on tour with Reba, George Strait and Lee Ann Womack.
