LET THE TRANSFORMATIONS BEGIN: "PLAIN JANE" PREMIERES WEDNESDAY, JULY 28, ON THE CW

June 3, 2010 (Burbank, CA) - The CW has announced the premiere of the new life-changing reality series, PLAIN JANE, on Wednesday, July 28 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET).

The series is hosted by British fashion expert Louise Roe, who also starred in "Fashion Police: The 2009 Grammy Awards." In each episode, Roe will use her expertise to transform one woman from the inside out to reveal a brand new woman. Each of the six episodes will feature a new "Jane" searching for the change of a lifetime. The "Jane" of the week will receive a head-to-toe style transformation, including a new wardrobe and confidence-building exercises.

PLAIN JANE goes beyond outward appearances to give each woman the chance to make her romantic dreams come true as well. Once the transformation is complete, the formerly plain "Jane" will surprise her unsuspecting crush with her new look and reveal her true feelings to him. A love connection is - or isn't - made.

Hosted by Louise Roe, PLAIN JANE is executive produced by Allison Grodner ("Big Brother"), Rich Meehan ("Big Brother") and Amy Palmer ("You're Cut Off") for Fly on the Wall Entertainment. The series is distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
