"The Sound Booth" on ABCFamily.com to Include New "On the Rise" Section Featuring Up-and-Coming Artists; "Free Music Mondays," Streaming Music Videos, Q&A's and Much More

The Pierces' "Secret" to be Featured as Title Song for Network's New Series "Pretty Little Liars"

Burbank, CA (June 7, 2010) - ABCFamily.com is expanding its music presence on the network's website ABCFamily.com - launching "The Sound Booth" on Monday, June 7th. "The Sound Booth" will feature unique opportunities for users to discover new artists, stream music videos, download music, and experience their favorite ABC Family shows and talent.

Features on "The Sound Booth" include:

- "On the Rise" - This section will spotlight a new up-and-coming artist each month, and will include exclusive photos and Q&A's. The first band to be featured in "On the Rise" will be Shel, and their song - "The Latest & Greatest Blueberry Rubberband" - will be featured in June as part of Free Music Monday's. Additional upcoming artists will include 2AM Club (on camera in "Pretty little Liars"), Kari Kimmel (whose music has been featured in "Greek" and "Pretty Little Liars"), Lindsey Harper (who sings the theme song for "Huge"), and Greg Holden/Amy Stroup (Holden's music will be featured in this season of "Make It or Break It")

- Free Music Monday's - In this section, users can come to "The Sound Booth" every Monday for a free download during the summer (June 7- August 30th). Music will be available for the one day only, and will be related to an ABC Family original series/movie, or an up-and-coming artist or band. The first free download will be The Pierces' song, "Secret" - the title song for ABC Family's new original scripted series, "Pretty Little Liars" (debuting Tuesday, June 8). The song is the first track on the band's latest album - "Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge."

- Featured artists pages

- Celebrity playlists from ABC Family series talent - The first to be featured will be Shailene Woodley ("The Secret Life of the American Teenager")

- Series pages featuring episodic music guides for network programming - including "Greek," "Make It or Break It," "Pretty Little Liars" and "Huge."

- Daily polls

ABC Family has a history of launching and supporting new and upcoming artists both in its original series and on-air promo content. Bands and artists including One Republic, Tamar Kaprelian, Grace Potter, The Plain White Tees, The Strange Familiar and Meiko are among the many artists who have been already been featured on the network's on-air and online platforms.
