New York, New York - June 8, 2010 - Continuing to amass accolades for its brand evolution and strategic marketing initiatives, Syfy will receive the prestigious Media Week Media Plan of the Year and People's Choice awards for its Alice promotional campaign during ceremonies in New York City on Wednesday, June 16.

Since the hugely successful July 2009 brand evolution, Syfy has either won or been nominated for 60 awards for such outstanding achievements as the groundbreaking House of Imagination brand film; unique guerrilla campaigns including Cafe Diem at Comic Con and the Union Square White Rabbit Stunt; on-air and online initiatives behind critically acclaimed programming such as Caprica and Alice as well as Syfy.com, and innovative spots for the channel's highly successful brand evolution along with co-branded partnerships with advertisers including Focus Features.

Syfy has won seven Creativity Awards, three Art Directors Awards and one each from One Club and the New York Festival. The House of Imagination brand film was an AICP finalist.

The Media Plan of the Year awards, sponsored and judged by Media Week, honor the media planning and buying industry, touting effectiveness, innovation and tactical approach. Syfy and its long-term agency partner Fallon (division of Fallon Worldwide, a part of Publicis Groupe S.A.) were awarded Media Plan of the Year award in the Out of Home category, along with the People's Choice award.

Alice was a two-part movie event starring Academy Award-winner Kathy Bates and Caterina Scorsone, which aired on Syfy in December 2009.

Syfy is a media destination for imagination-based entertainment. With year round acclaimed original series, events, blockbuster movies, classic science fiction and fantasy programming, a dynamic Web site (www.Syfy.com), and a portfolio of adjacent business (Syfy Ventures), Syfy is a passport to limitless possibilities.
