NBA Finals Game 3 on ABC Overnight Rating up 14 Percent
Celtics-Lakers Wins the Night for ABC; Highest Game 3 Rating in Past Six Years
ABC's exclusive coverage of The Finals Game 3 - Los Angeles Lakers at Boston Celtics - delivered an 11.5 overnight rating, a 14 percent increase from 2009 (Lakers vs. Orlando, 10.1 overnight). Tuesday night's Game 3 broadcast was the highest-rated show of the night for all of television, helping ABC to win the night for all networks in primetime. The game peaked with a 14.7 rating from 11:30-11:45 p.m. ET.
The broadcast is the highest-rated Game 3 overnight rating since 2004 (Lakers/Detroit, 12.4 overnight rating).
Coverage will continue with Game 4 Thursday, June 10, at 9 p.m. on ABC and ESPN Radio.
