CHARLES MESURE JOINS CAST OF ABC'S "V" FOR SEASON TWO

Charles Mesure, who played Kyle Patrick Hobbes in the first season of "V," will join the show as a series regular for the upcoming Season Two (premiere date is TBD). Hobbes was the mercenary who joined forces with The Fifth Column to battle the V's, only to be seen in the Season Finale secretly meeting with Anna's second in command, Marcus, who asked Hobbes if he would like to switch sides and work for the V's.

Mesure was born in Somerset, England. When he was five his family moved to Australia, and he grew up in Sydney. While studying law and political science at Sydney University, he became active in the school's drama society and decided to pursue a career in acting, graduating from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts.

Mesure launched his acting career in New Zealand as a series regular on the TV series "City Life." This led to more work on hit shows like "Zena: Warrior Princess" and "Hercules." He won Best Supporting Actor for his performance as the lead in "Street Legal," a series on which he also worked as a writer for three seasons.

In 2004 Mesure moved to the U.S. and landed guest starring roles on hit shows like "Without a Trace," "Bones," "Lost," "Cold Case," plus a 12-episode arc on "Crossing Jordan" as Jill Hennessy's love interest. Then, in 2008, he returned to New Zealand where he recurred on the series "Outrageous Fortune." His work on the show earned him a nomination for Best Actor in the TV Guide "Best of the Box" People's Choice Awards. He was also a series regular on the family drama "Kaitangata Twitch," which was a finalist at the 2010 Prix Jeunesse, and starred as the series lead in the complex mystery "This Is Not My Life."

"V" is produced by HDFilms in association with Warner Bros. Television. The executive producers are Scott Rosenbaum, Steve Pearlman and Jace Hall.
