Guests Include Council Of Economic Advisors Chairman Austan Goolsbee, Senator Ted Kaufman (D-DE) And The 44th President Of The United States Barack Obama

NEW YORK, Oct. 20 -- "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" heads to the nation's capital to cover the midterm elections with a special week of "Indecision 2010" episodes from Monday, October 25 through Thursday, October 28. "When Grizzlies Attack: A 'Daily Show' Midterm Teapartyganza" will be taped at the Shakespeare Theatre Company's Sidney Harman Hall in D.C. and air nightly at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. Host Jon Stewart will be joined by his team of award-wishing correspondents (Samantha Bee, Wyatt Cenac, Jason Jones, Aasif Mandvi, Olivia Munn, John Oliver and Larry Wilmore), to both set the stage for these historic elections and to look for any incumbents who need help packing their things.

Guest appearances include Council of Economic Advisors Chairman Austan Goolsbee (October 25), Senator Ted Kaufman (D-DE; October 26) and the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama (October 27).

"The Daily Show's" week-long "teapartyganza" leads up to the show's October 30 "Rally to Restore Sanity," a rally for people who've been too busy to go to rallies, who actually have lives and families and jobs (or are looking for jobs) - not so much the Silent Majority as the Busy Majority.

This marks the eighth time the series has taken its critically-acclaimed and award-winning "Indecision" coverage on the road to broadcast for a week, having previously travelled to Philadelphia (2000 RNC), Los Angeles (2000 DNC), Boston (2004 DNC), Denver (2008 DNC) and Minneapolis (2008 RNC) to cover the national party conventions, to Washington, D.C. (2002) and Columbus, OH (2006) for special, midterm election coverage. The series first earned its political stripes during the now-infamous 2000 election, receiving an Emmy(R) Award and a prestigious George Foster Peabody(R) Award for its year-long "Indecision 2000" coverage of the race for the White House, feats repeated during the series' "Indecision 2004" election reporting.

"The Daily Show" airs Monday-Thursday at 11:00 p.m. and repeats at 1:30 a.m. the same night and at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. the following day (all times ET/PT). Full episodes, as well as clips, are posted for viewing the following day at www.thedailyshow.com with URL and embed links.

Jon Stewart, Rory Albanese and Josh Lieb are the executive producers of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" with Kahane Cooperman serving as co-executive producer. Supervising producers are Steve Bodow, Jennifer Flanz, Hillary Kun, Adam Lowitt and Jim Margolis. Jill Katz is the executive in charge of production. The series' head writer is Steve Bodow and it is directed by Chuck O'Neil.

About the Shakespeare Theatre Company:

The Shakespeare Theatre Company's innovative approach to Shakespeare and other classic playwrights has earned it the reputation as the nation's premier classical theatre company.
