LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The CW plans to air 99 hours of scripted programming this fall, the largest in the network's five-year history.
That's 11 episodes each of "90210," "Gossip Girl," "One Tree Hill," "Life Unexpected," "Hellcats," "The Vampire Diaries," "Nikita," "Smallville" and "Supernatural."
The netlet's previous high was 84 hours for its fall 2006 launch when it still programmed on Sunday nights while its low was 67 hours during the WGA strike in the fall of 2007.
Last fall, The CW rolled out 79 hours of scripted offerings while 2008 saw 81 hours of first-run comedies and dramas.
