"JUDGE KAREN'S COURT" RETURNS WITH NEW SEASON FALL 2011

HIGHEST RATED NEW FIRST-RUN STRIP IN NEW YORK

RENEWED ON TRIBUNE'S WPIX-TV

GROUPS RENEWING INCLUDE TRIBUNE, SINCLAIR, LIN, WEIGEL, CAPITAL, FUSION, LIN, NEXSTAR AND ROBERTS

(JANUARY 3, 2011) - Litton Entertainment announced today that ratings winner and audience favorite JUDGE KAREN'S COURT will return for a second season Fall 2011 with all new episodes. In a year dominated by several other high profile syndicated launches, JUDGE KAREN'S COURT has broken through to become one of the true success stories of the year. The series - which is the # 1 freshman first-run strip in New York - has been renewed by Tribune's WPIX-TV. "Judge Karen's unique courtroom style and personality have connected with PIX11's viewers, and we are pleased to announce the renewal of her show for a second season," said Eric Meyrowitz, VP/GM of PIX11.

Also renewing are station groups Capital, Fusion, LIN, Nexstar, Roberts, Sinclair, Tribune and Weigel, with a total of 57 markets already signed on for a new season. In Chicago, where the series is also the # 1 freshman first-run strip, JUDGE KAREN'S COURT has been upgraded by WCIU-TV and will begin airing at 9:00 a.m. effective immediately. WCIU-TV has also renewed for Fall 2011.

"Stations have seen enough court shows to know the difference between good ones and bad ones," said Tom Warner, Litton's Executive Vice President, Domestic Distribution. "What stations recognize is Judge Karen's authenticity, her genuine connection with audiences, and the real potential for JUDGE KAREN'S COURT to work as a long-term franchise in a court block or alongside their other daytime powerhouses."

"After my first show went off the air, many people thought that was the end," said Judge Karen Mills-Francis. "But then something extraordinary happened. Several station groups actually lobbied to get my show back on the air! And now, thanks to viewers around the country and the support of those stations it looks as though JUDGE KAREN'S COURT will have the chance to reach its full potential. I couldn't be more thrilled about the direction we are headed."

Known for her trademark burgundy robes and blonde hair along with her razor-sharp wit and compassionate heart, Judge Karen Mills-Francis has become an audience favorite. "When I watch Judge Karen in action it reminds me of a knife dipped in honey: she slices and dices with a smile," said Executive Producer Rich Goldman. "She has a unique way of being both sharp and sweet at the same time as she cuts through the lies." With Goldman at the helm, JUDGE KAREN'S COURT allows viewers to experience justice Judge Karen-style. With charm, humor, and super-sharp cross-examination skills, Judge Karen digs deep for the truth. But her real talent is her ability to see into the hearts of the people who come before her, knowing that many times the issues in the case mask deeper emotional conflicts and broken relationships.
