Catch Sneak-Peeks of This Year's Highly Anticipated Super Bowl Commercials before The Big Game

SUPER BOWL'S GREATEST COMMERCIALS 2011, an interactive countdown special where viewers will be able to vote LIVE for their top pick, hosted by Jim Nantz, Lead Play-by-Play Announcer of THE NFL ON CBS, and co-host Lara Spencer, host of THE INSIDER, will be broadcast Friday, Feb. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Sponsors present their best commercials during the Super Bowl and the big game wouldn't be quite the same without them. For the advertising community, the Super Bowl is their Super Bowl, so commercials are often specifically created for the enormous viewership that the game provides. For many, watching the commercials is the most fun part of the Super Bowl and, at millions of dollars for 30 seconds of airtime, advertisers try to get their money's worth by rolling out their most creative and innovative spots. This one-hour special, now in its 11th year, will originate from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and showcase the greatest Super Bowl commercials of all time.

The special will count down the 10 greatest Super Bowl commercials from the past 44 years, all vying for the #1 spot. Viewers can now go to www.cbs.com/superbowl to watch and vote for their favorite. The top three picks will be revealed during the show and, in a special live vote during the broadcast on www.cbs.com/superbowl, viewers will decide which commercial will take home this year's title.

Viewers will also be able to catch a sneak peek of this year's most highly anticipated commercials before the big game, as well as get a behind-the-scenes look at how their favorite spots are made.

Jim Nantz, the 2009 and 2008 Emmy Award winner for "Outstanding Sports Personality - Play-by-Play" and five-time National Sportscaster of the Year, has covered virtually every sport for the CBS Television Network since joining it in 1985. He has been the lead play-by-play voice for THE NFL ON CBS since 2004, teaming up with lead analyst Phil Simms on the Network's #1 NFL announce team. For six years (1998-2003) he anchored the Network's NFL pre-game studio show, THE NFL TODAY. In addition, Nantz is the anchor of CBS's golf coverage, including the Masters? and the PGA Championship, as well as lead play-by-play announcer for college basketball, including the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship and Final Four.

In 2010, Nantz repeated a rare broadcasting triple in 63 days beginning with his call of the most-watched program in television history, Super Bowl XLIV on February 7, followed by the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Final Four and the Masters(R) in April. During the same time span in 2007, Nantz became the first commentator in history to complete the rare broadcasting three-feat: calling Super Bowl XLI, the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Final Four and the Masters(R).

In April 2010, Nantz was honored with his second consecutive Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Personality - Play-By-Play at the Sports Emmy Awards in New York City. In May 2010, Nantz was honored by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association with the 2009 National Sportscaster of the Year award. This marked his fifth time overall and third consecutive year, having also won it in 2008, 2007, 2005 and 1998. With this fifth honor, Nantz has won this prestigious award more times than any other CBS sportscaster. Nantz was also inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as the youngest recipient of the Curt Gowdy Media Award in 2002.

Among his many other credits, Nantz has served as the host of THE SUPER BOWL TODAY, CBS Sports' Super Bowl XXXV and XXXVIII pre-game shows, and was the primetime host of CBS Sports' coverage of the 1998 Olympic Winter Games.

In 2008, Nantz co-authored with Eli Spielman the New York Times bestseller, Always By My Side. The book climbed to No. 3 on the New York Times list, making it the highest ranking achieved that year by a sports book. Always By My Side spent seven weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.

This year, Lara Spencer returns to co host CBS's "Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials" special for the second consecutive year. Currently she celebrates her seventh season as host of "The Insider," a role she began at the show's inception in 2004 when it premiered as the highest-rated debut of any newsmagazine in syndication since 1996. While at "The Insider," Spencer has covered numerous high-profile stories, red carpet moments and interviewed many of the industry's biggest stars, including Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio.

In 2009, Spencer hosted the Young Hollywood Awards and co-hosted the "Live From the Red Carpet" Daytime Emmy Pre-Show. She also served as a guest expert on The CW's top-rated show, "America's Next Top Model," and has been a special co-host of CBS's "The Early Show" numerous times. Spencer has hosted two CBS primetime television specials, "Red Carpet Confidential" and "An Entertainment Tonight Event - Celebrity Weddings Unveiled."

She first moved to the national stage in 1999 when she joined "Good Morning America" as a national correspondent. In 2003, Spencer signed on as host of the most-watched series on PBS, "Antiques Roadshow." She hosted the show from 2004-05, while pulling double duty as co-anchor of "The Insider."

SUPER BOWL'S GREATEST COMMERCIALS 2011 is being produced by IMG Media, Juma Entertainment and Robert Dalrymple Productions. Robert Horowitz and Steve Mayer are the executive producers, and Robert Dalrymple and Tony Lanni are the producers. Paul Miller will direct.
