Ready! Set! Clip! TLC sets premiere date for EXTREME COUPONING

12-part series to air Wednesdays nights starting April 6

TLC announced the premiere date for the much buzzed-about series EXTREME COUPONING, which follows along as savvy shoppers plan and plot their way to unbelievable savings. The series will premiere Wednesday, April 6 with two episodes at 9 & 9:30 PM ET/PT, and will move to the 9:30 PM time slot the following week.

2.1 million viewers tuned in for the premiere EXTREME COUPONING, which aired as a one-hour special on December 29, 2010. Now, each of the series' 12 half-hour episodes introduces viewers to America's most extreme "super couponers," sharing why they are so driven by the deals.

"For some people, couponing isn't just a way to save money, it's a way of life," said Amy Winter, GM, TLC. "EXTREME COUPONING shares their remarkable stories and reveals tips and tricks to uncover the best deals out there, giving the TLC audience the tools they need to conquer this economy."

From seeing their shocking stockpiles of merchandise they rack up, to demonstrating their dramatic shopping skills, to witnessing how some use their amazing couponing ways to benefit local communities, EXTREME COUPONING shares the world of everyday people in pursuit of extraordinary deals.

Some of the people profiled in the series include Montgomery Village, MD's J'aime, a paralegal who brings her prides herself on her couponing professionalism while scoring $1900 worth of merchandise for $103; Jessica, from Caldwell, ID, who spent just $7 for $680 worth of goods; St Louis, MO's Rebecca is a second-generation stockpiler who takes home $542 of items for $25; and it only costs Tiffany from Spring, TX $40 to take home items valued at $1100.
