SYFY HIDDEN CAMERA REALITY SERIES "SCARE TACTICS" RENEWED FOR A FIFTH SEASON

Actor/Comedian Tracy Morgan Will Return As Host and Executive Producer

Production Begins This Spring On 13-Episode Pick-Up Order-Season Five To Premiere Fall 2012

NEW YORK - April 6, 2011 - Syfy has re-upped its frighteningly funny hidden camera reality series Scare Tactics for a fifth season, it was announced today by Mark Stern, President Original Content, Syfy and Co-Head, Original Content, Universal Cable Productions. Actor/comedian Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) will return as host and executive producer for the half-hour, 13-episode pick-up order. Season Five of Scare Tactics begins production this spring and is scheduled to premiere Fall 2012.

"We're thrilled to be bringing back Scare Tactics for another season," said Stern. "Tracy is the ultimate prankster and Syfy fans will absolutely enjoy a new round of hilarious episodes," said Stern.

Scare Tactics is a hidden camera show with a sci-fi twist. The show conspires with friends and family members to lure those close to them into outrageous scenarios. Unsuspecting victims find themselves in shocking situations from alien abductions to brushes with the living dead. Scare Tactics is a fun roller coaster ride that takes advantage of the age-old practice of friends playing practical jokes on each other. "Boo" is one of the oldest tricks in the book! The second half of Scare Tactics Season Four will return in October 2011 with six new episodes.

Scott Hallock and Kevin Healey of Hallock Healey Entertainment are the executive producers and creators of Scare Tactics.

"Kevin and I are beyond excited to have Tracy Morgan and Scare Tactics back for fifth season. I think the fact that we get real people to believe the unbelievable' has made the show a great fit for Syfy and a guilty pleasure for our fans all these years. Our goal is to be the longest running fear/comedy/horror/funny/paranormal-inspired hidden camera show on Syfy ever," said Hallock.

Scott Hallock & Kevin Healey have written and executive produced a diverse array of shows including FOX's Mobbed and NBC's Howie Do It (Co-Created with Howie Mandel) The 25 Million Dollar Hoax, SPY TV, World's Most Amazing Videos and You Asked for It.

Syfy is a media destination for imagination-based entertainment. With year round acclaimed original series, events, blockbuster movies, classic science fiction and fantasy programming, a dynamic Web site (www.Syfy.com), and a portfolio of adjacent business (Syfy Ventures), Syfy is a passport to limitless possibilities.
