EMMY AWARD WINNER TERRY O'QUINN JOINS THE CAST OF "HAWAII FIVE-0" IN A RECURRING ROLE

Tuesday, June 21 -- Emmy Award winner Terry O'Quinn ("Lost," "Alias") will join the cast of HAWAII FIVE-0 in a recurring role for its second season premiering in September, on the CBS Television Network. His character will debut in the season's premiere episode. O'Quinn's casting reunites him with fellow "Lost" alumnus, Daniel Dae Kim, on the islands of Hawaii.

O'Quinn will play a Navy Seal Lt. Commander who trained McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) in Coronado, and served with his father in Vietnam. He's a man with secrets, holding some of the answers to the mysteries surrounding the murder of McGarrett's parents.

"We are all honored and excited that Emmy Award-winning Terry O'Quinn, has joined our HAWAII FIVE-0 'ohana' (Hawaiian for family)," said Executive Producer Peter Lenkov. "O'Quinn's character, who we will meet in the premiere, is going to be a major contributor to our team... because he taught McGarrett everything he knows."

"We're lucky to have Terry on HAWAII FIVE-0," said Daniel Dae Kim. "He's a great actor who brings a sense of ease and professionalism to every project he works on, and I'm excited to work with him again."

Terry O'Quinn won an Emmy Award for his supporting role in "Lost" in 2007. His other television credits include "JAG," on the Network, "The X-Files," "Alias," "The West Wing," "Millenium" and "Harsh Realm."

Alex O'Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park and Masi Oka star in HAWAII FIVE-0, a contemporary take on the classic series about a new elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands' sun-drenched beaches. Peter Lenkov, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are the executive producers for CBS Television Studios.
