FORMER 'HOUSEWIFE' DINA MANZO BRINGS DRAMATIC DESIGN TO HGTV PARTY-PLANNING SERIES 'DINA'S PARTY'

NEW YORK, N.Y. [For Immediate Release - August 31, 2011] Dina Manzo, the interior designer and special events planner who first captured America's imagination in Real Housewives of New Jersey, will bring her lavish and sumptuous events to HGTV in her new party-planning series, Dina's Party. During the series, premiering on Saturday, September 10, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Dina and the staff of her company Designer Affair will create magnificent events in their clients' homes. Whether it's an over-the-top fantasy wedding, a Vegas-themed birthday bash or a Hollywood-inspired housewarming party, Dina will transform any space into something breathtakingly beautiful and unique.

"I love to transform life's important moments into celebrations," said Manzo. "Anyone can turn a house into a home, but I can turn a home into a party."

In the premiere episode, Dina's clients, Jim and Antonella O'Day, want to throw a nostalgic prom-themed party at their New Jersey home. To create the perfect prom, Dina and her event team transform three areas of the home to recreate the look of the quintessential school dance. The family room becomes the classic photo area complete with balloon arches and sparkly backdrop, the living room transitions into the "school gym" for dancing and the dining room is reinvented into a sidewalk caf inspired by Jim and Antonella's anniversary trip to Italy. This episode also will air on Food Network on Friday, September 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

A future episode features homeowner Kerry Matlosz, who regrets not hosting a 40th birthday party for her husband Ben. Dina will help Kerry make it up to him with a phenomenal high-end Las Vegas-themed birthday party. Inspired by the latest chic Las Vegas luxury hotels, Dina recreates the look with a faux blown glass ceiling installation, crystal curtains, gaming tables, slot machines and poolside cabanas.

Viewers who want additional inspiration can visit http://HGTV.com/dinasparty to see photo galleries of Dina's spectacular events, as well as view full episodes of the series.

"Dina brings her extraordinary creativity to Dina's Party and shows viewers how to create momentous celebrations at home," said Kathleen Finch, general manager, HGTV. "She really knows how to take a special moment and translate it into an unforgettable party."
