MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS BATTLE FOR CONTROL OF 'THE BIG DAY' IN THE NEW SPECIAL SERIES "MOMSTER OF THE BRIDE"
LOS ANGELES - September 12, 2011 - The Style Network presents the ultimate test of wills between brides and their overbearing mothers in the all-new special series "Momster of the Bride." Viewers will witness the difficult dynamics between mother and offspring as they both try to execute the wedding of their respective dreams. Will the bride get her wedding her way, or will her fantasies be quashed by her mother's domineering vision? A bridezilla is nothing compared to the "Momster of the Bride" when this limited engagement premieres Sunday, September 18 at 10pm ET/PT on Style.
Two back-to-back episodes will kick off the show on Sunday, September 18 at 10pm and 10:30pm ET/PT. In the premiere episode, a daughter's dream wedding is threatened by her bossy mother's insistence on continuing family traditions. As bride-to-be Shaylin plans her nuptials to fiancé Jason in San Clemente, Calif., her mother Susan demands that she wear her grandmother's archaic wedding dress - presumably since she was forced to wear it to her own wedding. To make matters worse, Susan hires a family friend to photograph the wedding without consulting Shaylin and attempts to control everything down to the bride's hairstyle. As tempers boil, can Shaylin find a way to make it her day and resist her mother's barrage of demands? In the second installment, a know-it-all mother who wants to start her own wedding planning business and decides her newly-engaged daughter will be her first client... whether she likes it or not.
The bridal antics continue on Sunday, September 25 at 10pm ET/PT, as a devoutly religious mother insists that her "pure" daughter wear white on her wedding day but little does she know that her child is no longer a virgin. Then, on the final episode airing Sunday, October 2 at 10PM ET/PT, a glamorously flashy mother, who thinks her daughter is extremely dull, pushes for an over-the-top Mardi Gras-inspired wedding spectacle befitting a true diva.
