LOS ANGELES, September 22, 2011 - Katie Holmes is set to guest star on an episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER titled "Perfect on Paper," to be broadcast on Halloween. Katie will play Naomi, the girl in the slutty pumpkin costume that Ted looks for every year on Halloween, as first introduced in season one.

"We're thrilled to have Katie Holmes joining us this Halloween to play a role literally six seasons in the making," says Craig Thomas, Co-Creator and Executive Producer of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. "Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we've saved for her perhaps the most classily-named character in our show's history: The Slutty Pumpkin." Best known for her role on "Dawson's Creek," Katie Holmes has appeared in numerous television series and feature films including "The Kennedys," "Eli Stone," "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" and "Mad Money."
