KATIE HOLMES GUEST STARS AS THE SLUTTY PUMPKIN - TED'S MYSTERY WOMAN FROM SEASON ONE - IN A SPECIAL HALLOWEEN EPISODE OF "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER"

LOS ANGELES, September 22, 2011 - Katie Holmes is set to guest star on an episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER titled "Perfect on Paper," to be broadcast on Halloween. Katie will play Naomi, the girl in the slutty pumpkin costume that Ted looks for every year on Halloween, as first introduced in season one.

Best known for her role on "Dawson's Creek," Katie Holmes has appeared in numerous television series and feature films including "The Kennedys," "Eli Stone," "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" and "Mad Money." HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER stars Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan and airs Mondays (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
