Two-Part, Four-Hour Special of Kardashian Proportions Gives Viewers Exclusive Insider Access to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' Wedding Extravaganza

The Lavish Wedding Planning, Tender and Romantic Moments, Plus Trademark Kardashian Drama Add Up to Event As Memorable as the Family Itself

Los Angeles, September 27, 2011 - Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, E!'s very own Prince and Princess of glamour and romance, said "I do" in August in front of hundreds of family and friends in one of the biggest celebrity weddings of all time. Now, fans will get to live every moment of the courtship and storybook wedding that created a media frenzy unlike anything Hollywood has seen in years. From the fabulous parties, dress fittings and intense planning, to all the family drama that is part-and-parcel of any such undertaking, viewers will witness the Kardashians as they come together to make Kim's wedding a dream come true.

The two-part four-hour special picks up where the romantic proposal left off in the season finale of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Beginning with the initial steps of planning, viewers will see exactly what it takes to pull off the wedding of the year and what happened behind-the-scenes at the extravagant ceremony and star-studded reception. With Kris Jenner, TV's savviest "Fairy Godmomager," tackling her daughter's wedding with the same panache and style that has helped make her family one of TV's most watched, no expense is spared and no stone left unturned to make this wedding one for the Hollywood history books.

The special is produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim-Murray Productions, which also produce the hit series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" and "Khloé & Lamar." "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event" premieres Sunday, October 9 at 8:00pm ET/PT and continues on Monday, October 10 at 9:00pm ET/PT only on E!

The special begins with a surprised family looking on as Kim and Kris announce they're engaged. Sisters Kourtney and Khloé feel uneasy about their future brother-in-law, and don't quite know if they can reconcile their feelings with Kim's happiness. However, momager Kris Jenner, who's been in on the proposal all along, kicks the whirlwind wedding planning into overdrive with celebrity party planner Sharon Sacks. Kris sets into motion the design of the "save the dates" and invitations, scouts locations and carefully selects guests among family, longtime friends and a "who's who" of Hollywood movers and shakers. Yet, looming in the back of her mind is what every mother-of-the bride worries about most - looking her very best on the big day.

While love and laughter abound, drama and friction also lurk in the background as Khloé's suspicion of Kim's future husband threatens to ruin the joyous atmosphere. Diehard fans know how important love and loyalty are to the Kardashians and how cautious they can be of new relationships. So, with Kim and Kris' courtship barely crossing the six-month mark, it may not be easy for the NBA star to find his footing in all the madness and to get along with the outspoken and protective Khloé.

Despite dealing with all the rough spots and navigating the Kardashian family minefield, Kris appears ready to support his bride in any way he can. While he's eager to be involved with the planning, he's nervous about how things will go if he can't agree with Kim and her mother. Much to his amusement, Bruce attempts to take him under his wing and give him some pointers on how to handle himself with the women of the family.

When the big day arrives, Kim spends time at a private Santa Barbara estate with her mother and sisters preparing to pledge her heart and soul to the man with whom she's deeply in love. Along with Kaela, Kim's future sister-in-law, the ladies go through a frenzy of hair and makeup before donning their white Vera Wang gowns, with Kim getting the extra care, attention and jewels every bride deserves. As she waits to walk down the aisle, wedding guests gather to surround the couple with love, and wish them a long and happy life together. The touching, traditional, yet glam ceremony leads into a sumptuous dinner held in an enormous tent outfitted in black and white, recalling the grandeur of old Hollywood.

From the gorgeous gowns and Hollywood's A-list guests, to the touching exchange of vows and the over-the-top reception, no one can throw a wedding like the Kardashians. E! captures all the behind-the-scenes stress, raw emotion, warmth and romance that culminates in a wedding day Kim and Kris - and fans throughout the world - will never forget.

"Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event" premieres Sunday, October 9 at 8:00pm ET/PT and continues on Monday, October 10 at 9:00pm ET/PT only on E!
