DAVE'S DEAD (FOX, New!) - Eric Siegel and Eric D. Wasserman ("Traffic Light") have booked a new comedy at the network billed as "Shaun of the Dead" meets "My Name is Earl." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the single-camera project, which is also being executive produced by Elizabeth Banks and her author/producer husband Max Handelman. DOWNWARDLY MOBILE (NBC, New!) - Roseanne Barr's proposed multi-camera comedy, about a lower middle class family living in a mobile home community, has found a home with the Peacock where it has a script commitment with a penalty attached. Eric Gilliland ("Mr. Sunshine"), Barr and her boyfriend John Argent all co-created the half-hour and will likewise executive produce alongside Steven Greener ("Roseanne's Nuts"). 20th Century Fox Television is producing. UNTITLED W. MERRITT JOHNSON/LEE DANIELS PROJECT (Showtime, New!) - Writer W. Merritt Johnson ("Temple Grandin") and director Lee Daniels ("Precious") are developing a new drama at the pay channel "set in New York City and centers on the disenfranchised multicultural transgender youth of the Ball subculture, previously portrayed in Jennie Livingston's 1990 documentary 'Paris Is Burning.'" The duo will executive produce with Daniels on board to direct from a script by Johnson. (Deadline.com)
