Remains Premieres Friday, December 16 @ 10 PM Future of Fear Premieres Friday, November 25 @ 8 PM

New York, NY - October 10, 2011 - As the cold draft of autumn begins to settle in, Chiller offers two more reasons to stay warm indoors with the premieres of two originals, it was announced today by Thomas P. Vitale, EVP, Programming and Original Movies, Syfy and Chiller. First up on Thanksgiving weekend will be the all-new original special The Future of Fear, premiering Friday, November 25 @ 8 PM. The highly-anticipated Steve Niles' Remains, Chiller's first original movie, will premiere Friday, December 16 @ 10 PM.

ABOUT STEVE NILES' REMAINS

Based on the IDW Publishing graphic novel written by Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) and illustrated by Kieron Dwyer, Remains is set in a chilling post-apocalyptic Reno, Nevada, and follows the survivors of a bizarre accident that reduced most of the world's population to zombies. The group takes refuge in a vacant casino and fights a losing battle against the undead, who grow steadily stronger, smarter and more aggressive by the minute. The movie stars Grant Bowler (True Blood, Ugly Betty), Lance Reddick (Fringe, Lost, The Wire), Miko Hughes (Pet Sematary) and Tawny Cypress (Rescue Me, Heroes). Remains is written by John Doolan and directed by Colin Theys; Andrew Gernhard and Zach O'Brien will serve as producers for Synthetic Cinema International.

ABOUT THE FUTURE OF FEAR (working title)

Featuring commentary from greatest horror storytellers of all time, including John Carpenter, Wes Craven, George Romero, Anne Rice, Alan Ball and John Landis, The Future of Fear will take a look back at where horror has taken us, its place in mainstream American culture and what's on the horizon for one of the most enduring and popular genres of all time. The Future of Fear is produced by Peacock Productions in association with NBC News.

Chiller will kick off its fall slate of originals with its second original special, Chiller 13: Horror's Creepiest Kids, premiering Friday, October 28 @ 8 PM. The 90-minute special is the perfect primer for Halloween, counting down the top terrifying moments in horror film history and featuring some of the most sinister little devils ever to appear on the silver screen. Featuring a panel of horror experts including actors Nolan Gould (Modern Family and the upcoming Chiller original movie Brian Keene's Ghoul), Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan), Miko Hughes (Pet Sematary and the upcoming Chiller original movie Steve Niles' Remains) and Rachel Potter (The Addams Family on Broadway), as well as Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) and film director Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary), Chiller 13: Horror's Creepiest Kids is produced by Emmy Award-winning company Associated Television International.
