CBSSPORTS.COM TO LAUNCH EXCLUSIVE 10-PART WEB SERIES IN SUPPORT OF FILM
NEW YORK (Oct. 12, 2011) -- CBSSports.com will premiere the first episode of a 10-week web series leading up to the SHOWTIME and CBS co-produced documentary film "A GAME OF HONOR". The web series, premiering Monday, Oct. 17, and the feature length film, premiering on Wednesday, Dec. 21 on SHOWTIME, provide unprecedented access at the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy and the respective football programs at West Point and Annapolis. Each episode of the short-form web series will dive deep into the back stories of the compelling characters from the film. The web series is exclusive to CBSSports.com and debuts a new episode each week until the film's premiere on SHOWTIME.
The documentary film chronicles the experiences of student athletes at West Point and Annapolis as they prepare to serve their country and participate in a rivalry unmatched by any other in sports - the Army-Navy football game. This highly anticipated documentary will grant unprecedented access inside the academies and the lives of its students. Giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the pressures, challenges, joys and friendships that are unique to the cadets and midshipmen each football season, the athletes will be seen preparing not only for their battle on the football field, but for their future careers as servicemen.
