AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES RAIN DELAY PUSHES START OF "THE X FACTOR" 'JUDGES' HOMES' ROUND TO TOMORROW

NEXT PHASE OF "THE X FACTOR" TO NOW AIR THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13, AND SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16

Final "Judges' Homes" Episode Airs Tuesday, October 18

Due to tonight's rain delay of Game #4 of the American League Championship Series, the start of the highly anticipated "Judges' Homes" round of THE X FACTOR is postponed until tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 13 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Part Two of the "Judges' Homes" round will now air Sunday, Oct. 16 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) (if no ALCS Game #7). As previously announced, the third and final part of the "Judges' Homes" round will air Tuesday, Oct. 18 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

The competition kicks into high gear tomorrow as L.A. Reid begins mentoring the Boys; Simon Cowell mentors the Girls; Nicole Scherzinger mentors the Over 30s and Paula Abdul mentors the Groups. In the "Judges' Homes" episodes, the 32 acts that survived "Boot Camp" are whisked away to their mentor's home, or to a location of the judge's choice, for their final shot at earning a place on the live shows. With everything on the line, the contestants will have to convince their judge - and another surprise celebrity guest mentor, including superstar Rihanna - that they deserve one of the coveted spots in each judge's final category. To learn more about each of the Top 32 acts, please visit www.thexfactorusa.com/contestants for interviews, photos and additional information.

[EDITOR'S NOTE 2: Tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 12, FOX will air an encore broadcast of THE X FACTOR on the West Coast from 8:00-10:00 PM PT/MT.]
