Investigation Discovery's HALLOSCREAM SCARATHON is Our Trick and Our Treat

This Halloween, our tricks are our treat with Investigation Discovery's primetime HALLOSCREAM SCARATHON on Saturday, October 29 from 8-11 PM ET. We suggest watching it with a nightlight and one hand placed strategically over your eyes.

Kicking off the fright fest is a fan-favorite episode of NIGHTMARE NEXT DOOR at 8 PM ET. In "Midwestern Malice," the small Midwestern town of Poplar Bluff, MO is rocked when 31-year-old Laura Wynn is found savagely attacked and strangled to death in her own home. When a double homicide strikes in a nearby town, the once-peaceful community fears a serial killer may be on the loose, but their nerves aren't settled until thirteen years later when persistent police work finally pays off for the ice-cold case.

Then from 9-11 PM ET, ID's spine-tingling documentary PIG FARM transports viewers to the eerie farm-turned-human-slaughterhouse of Robert "Willy" Pickton, Canada's most notorious serial killer and the person who sparked the most expensive investigation of its kind in Canadian history.

In addition, Planet Green delivers 13 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN from October 19-31 at 8, 9, and 10 PM ET. Nightly marathons will illuminate the silver screen with tales of hauntings, UFOs, and paranormal mysteries. The stunt culminates on Monday, October 31 with A HAUNTING IN FLORIDA at 8 PM ET followed by A HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT PART 1 at 9 PM ET and PART 2 at 10 PM ET.

INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY'S HALLOSCREAM SCREAMATHON

Nightmare Next Door

How well do you know your neighbors? NIGHTMARE NEXT DOOR tells the tales of mysterious murders from behind white picket fences that rocked Middle America. Each hour brings a new murder mystery and a new look into the evil that can lurk in the heart and soul of a tight-knit community. Interviews with investigators, prosecutors, family members and/or neighbors piece together the twisting tale of a classic whodunit, and forensic experiments lead viewers into the heart of the investigation.

· Midwestern Malice airs Saturday, October 29 at 8 PM ET The small Midwestern town of Poplar Bluff, MO is rocked when 31 year-old Laura Wynn is found savagely attacked and strangled to death in her own home. Residents of the once peaceful town live in fear while Detectives pull out all the stops to find her killer. And when a double homicide strikes in nearby town, they fear a serial killer is on the loose. But still the case grows icy cold until thirteen years later when persistent police work pays off and relentless detectives identify an intoxicating piece of evidence that may have been used as a weapon.

Pig Farm

Saturday, October 29 from 9-10 PM ET

PIG FARM chronicles the savage life of Robert "Willy" Pickton, Canada's most notorious serial killer and the person who sparked the most expensive investigation of its kind in Canadian history. This film features interviews with Pickton's associates and, for the first time, a chilling first-hand account from one woman who got away. Who knew what, when, and whether Pickton acted alone? Police give their frank revelations about key moments that could have changed the investigation's course, and perhaps spared the lives of more than two dozen victims.

PLANET GREEN'S 13 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN

A Haunting in Florida

Monday, October 31 at 8 PM ET

Ed and Beth Dunnam believe they have found the perfect home in suburban Orlando, but within days of moving in, Beth grows anxious whenever she's alone. After several paranormal sightings, the couple realizes that something otherworldly has invaded their home. A paranormal investigator verifies the haunting and helps the Dunnams consider their options. Ed tries to protect his now-pregnant wife by yelling angrily at the unseen spirits. Little does he realize that confronting the entities only makes them stronger.

A Haunting in Connecticut: Parts 1 & 2

Monday, October 31 at 9 & 10 PM ET, respectively

In 1986, the Parker family relocates to be near the University of Connecticut medical school, because their son has recently been diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease and they need a conveniently-located rental home. They find the perfect spot in a rambling old house not far from the medical center. Curiously, the day they move in, they notice crucifixes over all the doorways. Even more telling is a room filled with head tags, toe tags, coffin keys and religious medals. The Parkers realize they have just moved into an old funeral parlor that has come complete with funeral music wafting through the house, an old fashioned telephone ringing incessantly, and doors opening and closing without explanation. Soon, unseen entities begin terrorizing the family with jarring midnight visits and haunting physical encounters. Mr. and Mrs. Parker are at their wits' end and seek out a controversial couple in nearby Bridgeport that specializes in the supernatural. Edward Warren is a demonologist; His wife, Lorraine, is a clairvoyant. Since the 1960s, the Warrens have been involved in some of America's most notorious stories of hauntings, possessions, and exorcisms. Using a combination of Christianity and parapsychology, the couple performs a church-sanctioned exorcism to rid the house of its unwanted inhabitants. But does it work?
