HEAVEN CAN WAIT AS A RELUCTANT ANGEL TAKES ON ONE MORE EARTHLY MISSION TO EARN HER WINGS

LINDY BOOTH AND PAUL MCGILLION STAR IN "CHRISTMAS MAGIC," A HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE WORLD PREMIERE, DECEMBER 18

Hallmark Channel's COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS: More True Holiday-Themed Programming Than any Other Network; Hallmark Channel Official Cable TV Partner with Marine Toys for Tots

"Christmas Magic" is Rated: P for Presents, T for Tree-Trimming and C for Caring*

Lindy Booth ("October Road," "The 4400") is an angel unaware who takes on one more earthly mission and ends up earning her wings in "Christmas Magic," a Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere on Sunday, December 18 (8p.m. ET/PT, 7C). Paul McGillion ("Finding a Family," "Stargate: Atlantis") co-stars in the film. Hallmark Channel's COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS features more true holiday-themed programming than any other network. Hallmark Channel is proud to be the official TV partner with Marine Toys for Tots working with the foundation to fulfill their mission that every child deserves a toy during the holidays.

Carrie Bishop (Booth) lives for her successful career as an event planner in New York City, but her life changes in an instant after a nasty car accident in a snowstorm. Carrie suffers head trauma and regains consciousness in Central Park with an older man, Henry (Derek McGrath, "Little Mosque on the Prairie"). Henry is Carrie's spirit guide and is there to help her "pass over" to Heaven. But before Carrie can move on, she must fulfill one last task on Earth - a type of Angel Duty. Henry tells Carrie that she must help guide a widowed, young restaurant owner, Scott Walker, (McGillion) who has recently considered suicide because his beloved restaurant/catering business is utterly failing.

Carrie befriends Scott and his 8-year-old daughter and immediately displays a knack for promoting the restaurant. But time isn't on Carrie's side on this mission. She has until midnight Christmas Eve to turn the eatery around. As friendship grows, romance blooms, and Carrie finds it a struggle to keep business and pleasure separate. Will the heat in Scott's kitchen be all about the food? Or is one Angel on a meteoric rise to earn her wings?

"Christmas Magic" is a Chesler/Perlmutter Production. Lewis Chesler, David Perlmutter and Rob Vaughn are executive producers. Marek Posival is producer. John Bradshaw directed from a script by Joany Kane.

* Hallmark Channel's COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS created a new television tradition for 2011: the Christmas TV ratings system. The Christmas ratings include: S for Santa, T for Tree-Trimming, J for Joy, F for Family Meal, G for Family Gathering, P for Presents and C for Caring. Have a very Hallmark Christmas!
