"The Dr. Oz Show" Kicks Off November Sweeps with All-New, Informative and Thought-Provoking Episodes

Dr. Oz Conducts His Most Extreme Experiment Ever to See How Viewers Fare on a Caveman Diet in a Zoo!

Plus, Supermodel Tyra Banks Addresses Body Image, Pastor Joel Osteen Speaks About the Healing Power of Prayer and Montel Williams Defends the Right to Die

NEW YORK, Oct. 27, 2011 -- The Emmy(R) Award-winning, nationally syndicated "The Dr. Oz Show," now in its third season and the number one syndicated talk show among Women 25-54*, brings viewers this November critical, need-to-know information, outrageous stunts and insightful celebrity interviews.

First, on Thursday, October 27, Dr. Oz explores the biggest breakthroughs for every body type, starting with targeting and attacking specific types of body fat.

On Friday, October 28, we go on location to the Turtle Back Zoo in N.J., where three women sequestered in cages live on a Paleolithic diet for three days. Watch as the women live on the foods people were designed to eat and their blood work undergoes positive changes.

Fitness expert and creator of the famed P90X program, Tony Horton, appears Monday, October 31, with three women who show off their spectacular results from the popular program.

One of most controversial and philosophical shows ever produced by "The Dr. Oz Show" premieres Tuesday, November 1, when Montel Williams returns, this time to discuss a person's right to die. Williams, who lives with painful muscular dystrophy, emotionally reveals his three suicide attempts and his position on whether people should have the option to end their life. Patients facing severe health challenges join the discussion, as well as leading psychiatrist Keith Ablow, M.D., who counters Williams' point of view. This impassioned debate is a one-of-a-kind show not to be missed.

Monday, November 7, is the newest show in Dr. Oz's Transformation Nation: Million Dollar You, the season-long health challenge that teaches viewers the path to optimum health while giving them the chance to win $1 million dollars. In this third installment, Dr. Oz teaches women over the age of 40 to lose 40 pounds of belly fat and re-energizes the hundreds of thousands of participants already enrolled in the program.

Internationally acclaimed alternative health icon Dr. Andrew Weil appears Wednesday, November 9, to reveal how his personal battle with depression led to his epiphany in creating his four week plan to happiness.

Renowned supermodel Tyra Banks appears Monday, November 14, to take on body image issues and discuss her lifelong battle with her own body perception. Tyra chats with members of the audience about their likes and dislikes of their own body features and how to overcome hang-ups and feeling self conscious.

On Thursday, November 17, popular televangelist and author Joel Osteen appears for an examination of the healing power of prayer for medical miracles. Audience members who believe they lived a medical miracle share their stories as Pastor Osteen and Dr. Oz talk about the role of faith in overcoming insurmountable odds. Dr. Oz shares his role in groundbreaking research done on prayer in hospitals and studies which he participated in years ago. It is a thorough examination of the audience's belief in God, in prayer, and ultimately in themselves.
