Burbank, CA (November 28, 2011) - To kick off 2012, ABC Family's original series "Pretty Little Liars" and "The Lying Game" return with more drama, intrigue and romance in all new episodes starting on Monday, January 2nd.

In the January premiere of "Pretty Little Liars" entitled "Through Many Dangers, Toils and Snares," airing Monday, January 2nd (8:00 - 9:00 PM ET/PT), it picks up a month later in the town of Rosewood after the four Liars were caught by police. Fans can relive many twists and turns of "A's" game in an all-day "Pretty Little Liars" marathon starting at 11:00 AM (ET/PT) and running up to the one-hour premiere at 8:00 PM (ET/PT).

If you loved the web of lies spun by the Liars, you will love the double deception as "The Lying Game" picks up on the night of the twins' seventeenth birthday, after Emma and Ethan have a huge blow-up with Sutton, in "O Twin, Where Art Thou?," the return of ABC Family's original series "The Lying Game," premiering Monday, January 2nd (9:00 - 10:00 PM ET/PT). See how all the lying began with an all-day "The Lying Game" marathon starting at 9:00 AM (ET/PT).

A month has passed on "Pretty Little Liars" since Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer were arrested and a lot has changed in Rosewood, and with the girls. No longer the mighty four best friends, the Liars are at each others' throats and Emily has been iced out completely. But what could have divided them so severely? Has "A" finally won the game of divide and conquer? With Emily now truly on her own, is she ripe for "A's" picking?

"Pretty Little Liars" is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick and Leslie Morgenstein. The series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Holly Marie Combs, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Chad Lowe, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse.

On "The Lying Game," it's been a tough night for Emma and Ethan, and things are about to get tougher when they find Sutton has disappeared after their argument and the Mercer family car is missing from the garage. When the police find the car at the bottom of the lake, Emma and Ethan look to each other for support, but Thayer threatens to tear them apart with his accusations against Ethan. Meanwhile, Char's aunt, Rebecca (guest star Charisma Carpenter, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), has returned to town and Char is the only one happy about it.

"The Lying Game" is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive produced by Charles Pratt, Jr., Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo.
