Electus Secures a Three-for-One Project Development Deal With National Geographic Channel

NEW YORK, Jan. 27, 2012 -- Ben Silverman's multimedia entertainment studio Electus, an operating business of IAC (Nasdaq: IACI), today announced that the Company has secured a three-for-one project development deal that includes one guaranteed series greenlight with National Geographic Channel, while two of the three projects will remain confidential until a later date.

One of the main concepts in development at Electus includes an immersive reality series based on the perilous Mayflower expedition, which recreates the actual sixty-six day journey the passengers took in search of the new world. In some cases, the people featured in the series will be descendants of the original Mayflower passengers.

"Howard Owens and David Lyle are making incredibly transformative changes at National Geographic Channel. Already one of the most significant global brands, we are proud to help them further their efforts by developing these inventive new series," said Chris Grant, CEO of Electus. "Our vision for the Mayflower series is to recreate, as closely as possible, the real experiences that the original passengers faced. With that in mind, this is the perfect way to bridge NatGeo's brand of organic storytelling with the reality TV genre that Electus is so well-known for. This journey provides all the twists, turns and high stakes that really keep audiences on the edge of their seats."

"National Geographic Channel is making a targeted effort to be in business with the best and brightest television makers in the world and Ben [Silverman] and Chris [Grant] set the standard," said National Geographic Channel President Howard Owens.
