"E! Entertainment Special: The Hollywood Reporter Presents: Actors Unscripted" Premieres February 24 @ 8:00 PM ET/PT

In A Round-Table Setting The Half-Hour Special Provides Intimate Access To Oscar Contenders of Past and Present

Featured Interviewees Include George Clooney, Charlize Theron, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer

(Los Angeles, CA, February 22, 2012) -- With the Academy Awards just days away, E! Entertainment, in collaboration with The Hollywood Reporter, presents a series of intimate round-table interviews with past and present Oscar winners and nominees. 13 A-list actors reveal their innermost thoughts on their craft and the highs and lows that come with this 'business of show.' From George Clooney and Brad Pitt to Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan, the special presents a unique glimpse of these beloved performers and is a "must- see" for any award season enthusiast or cinema aficionado. The E! Entertainment Special: The Hollywood Reporter Presents: Actors Unscripted premieres on February 24 at 8:00 PM.

Select quotes from the special include:

George Clooney: "I remember I was selling women's shoes at a department store, which is a lousy job... it was 80-year old women like, 'that's a hammertoe.' You're like 'I don't want to see that.' Acting is not hard work. I cut tobacco for a living in Kentucky. That's hard work."

Brad Pitt: "This movie [Moneyball] died on the vine so many times. I ended up asking a lot of people to do me this solid and come into this thing. People put their jobs on the line and there was a wee bit of pressure to get it right. I am so happy that the movie has come together. That is a great experience - when you put that much into something and know it's going to say something and continue to say something in 10 years, 20 years."

Viola Davis: "With every role I have learned something, even the failures. I really love what I do. It is why I do it. A lot of people can't say that."

Charlize Theron: "Sometimes the surprise is the thing you think would be the hardest is sometimes the easiest. Like, the idea of somebody saying, 'take your clothes off' was a little frightening - and then I did it and I was like, 'oh, okay.'"

Michelle Williams: "I have worked with a few actors recently who go up to the monitor in-between takes and they watch what they do and then they go back in and tinker with their performance. I thought 'I'm gonna try that,' - I ran screaming away from that monitor."

Octavia Spencer: "I'm glad that I had little opportunities that led to bigger things. And you know, the fact that I am sitting in this room with people that inspire me every day... a year ago I would just been watching, you know it's wonderful."

George Clooney: "All of us are afraid of failure, of course."

To see these remarkable actors off-script be sure to tune-in to the E! Entertainment Special: The Hollywood Reporter Presents: Actors Unscripted on February 24 at 8:00 PM ET/PT.
