ALL-NEW SEASON "MONSTERS INSIDE ME" UNCOVERS THE INVISIBLE THREATS BEHIND TERRIFYING MEDICAL MYSTERIES

Premieres Wednesday, November 11 at 10PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel

Unremarkable moments become medical nightmares when parasites and other hidden invaders attack the human body. In Monsters Inside Me, premiering Wednesday, November 11 at 10PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel, patients, loved ones and doctors retrace steps to search for answers, while experts reveal the science behind each ordeal and fight to survive.

In the premiere episode, patients and their doctors unravel baffling illnesses and reveal an extraordinary medical first when a woman discovers live worms in her eye, prompting a search for answers about her health. Then, a hunter discovers that a tick bite has turned eating everyday food into a dangerous gamble, and a woman returns from Hawaii with parasites attacking her nervous system.

Throughout the season, these unseen threats disrupt ordinary lives, including a routine blood donation that exposes a woman's hidden parasitic infection, and a bout of searing pain that leads an Alaskan fishing guide to suspect a worm has traveled from his stomach to his liver. Medical mysteries continue to unfold as a newlywed facing brain surgery gets a shocking diagnosis, while a traveler fights an eye-destroying amoeba after an everyday habit puts her vision at risk. Later, a reptile expert survives a crocodile encounter only to suffer organ failure, and a college athlete battles recurring illness as doctors search beyond a suspected Lyme diagnosis for answers.
