CMT PICKS UP CABLE RIGHTS TO FAMILY SITCOMS "REBA" AND "YES, DEAR"

REBA and YES, DEAR to Make CMT Debut on August 1

NASHVILLE - July 2, 2012 - Two long-running, family-oriented sitcoms REBA and YES, DEAR will make their way to CMT this Fall as part of a multi-year licensing deal with Twentieth Television, it was announced today by Mary Beth Cunin, senior vice president of programming strategy, CMT. Syndicated episodes of REBA and YES, DEAR will air in weekday blocks beginning Wednesday, August 1. The network will also air seven straight hours of REBA as part of a fan-voted marathon on Saturday, August 18. Beginning July 13, fans can vote via CMT's Facebook page to pick their all-time favorite episodes of the beloved sitcom.

REBA will kick off primetime weeknights on CMT from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET. Starring country music powerhouse Reba McEntire, the series ran for six successful seasons, totaling 127 episodes. YES, DEAR will serve as the lead-in to REBA, airing weeknights from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. ET. These acquisitions complement CMT's current line-up, and the network also has more originals in production than any time in its history. Earlier this year, CMT launched its two highest-rated series ever with MY BIG REDNECK VACATION and BAYOU BILLIONAIRES.

"The right acquisitions play a crucial role in a network's success and REBA and YES, DEAR are two shows that are absolutely right for CMT," said Cunin. "We believe our audience played a large role in these two sitcoms' initial success, and that same audience will continue to drive its popularity weeknights on CMT."

REBA, which aired on The WB and later The CW from 2001 to 2007, is a comedy that follows single mother of three Reba Hart (Reba McEntire) as she tackles parenthood and other obstacles along the way. After her dentist husband of 20 years, Brock (Christopher Rich), leaves her for his dental hygienist, Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman), Reba's seemingly perfect world is turned upside down.

YES, DEAR is a comedy about two young couples and their differing views on parenting and life. Greg (Anthony Clark) and Kim Warner (Jean Louisa Kelly) struggle on a daily basis to become perfect at the job, while Kim's sister and brother-in-law, Christine (Liza Snyder) and Jimmy Hughes (Mike O'Malley), take a more laid back approach to all facets of life and parenting. YES, DEAR originally aired on CBS from 2000 to 2006.

CMT, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA, VIAB), is the leading television and digital authority on country music and entertainment, reaching more than 92 million homes in the U.S. CMT and its website, CMT.com, offer an unparalleled mix of music, news, live concerts and series and is the top resource for country music on demand. The network's digital platforms include the 24-hour music channel, CMT Pure Country, CMT Mobile and CMT VOD.
