CBS SPORTS - HOME OF SUPER BOWL XLVII - ANNOUNCES BROADCAST PAIRINGS FOR 2012 NFL SEASON

Jim Nantz and Phil Simms Lead as No. 1 NFL ON CBS Announce Team In CBS Television Network's 53rd Season Covering NFL

THE NFL TODAY Anchored by James Brown, Dan Marino, Bill Cowher, Boomer Esiason and Shannon Sharpe

Jason La Canfora Joins THE NFL TODAY as "NFL Insider"

The CBS Television Network, home of Super Bowl XLVII, begins its 53rd year of broadcasting the NFL on Sunday, Sept. 9 (12:00 Noon-4:00 PM, ET) as Jim Nantz and Phil Simms lead THE NFL ON CBS into the Network's 2012 NFL season.

James Brown anchors the CBS Television Network's pre-game studio show, THE NFL TODAY, along with analysts Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason, Shannon Sharpe and Bill Cowher from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. Jason La Canfora joins THE NFL TODAY this season serving as the "NFL Insider," while Lesley Visser serves as reporter for the show. This season marks the 45th year of THE NFL TODAY on the CBS Television Network.

THE NFL ON CBS announce team is solidified as the deepest in sports television as Greg Gumbel once again calls games alongside Dan Dierdorf; Ian Eagle teams with Dan Fouts; and Marv Albert pairs with Rich Gannon to call games.

Other notes of interest this year include Kevin Harlan once again with Solomon Wilcots; Bill Macatee teaming with Steve Tasker; and Spero Dedes with Steve Beuerlein.

CBS Sports' complete roster of announce teams for its 53rd year of NFL coverage was announced today by Sean McManus, Chairman, CBS Sports, and Executive Producer, THE NFL ON CBS.
