WWE DIVA EVE TORRES CAPTURES VICTORY IN FINAL COMPETITION OF NBC'S ACTION-PACKED COMPETITION SERIES "STARS EARN STRIPES"

Torres Wins A Grand Total of $150,000 For The USO With $380,000 Raised For All Charities Represented

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - September 5, 2012 - WWE Diva Eve Torres emerged victorious in Monday night's final competition of NBC's action-packed competition series "Stars Earn Stripes" as she beat out fellow finalists Nick Lachey, Todd Palin, Picabo Street and Dean Cain. As the grand prize winner on the season finale, Torres gained $100,000 for her charity, the USO (www.uso.org), and including her other winnings during the show's run, contributed a total of $150,000 to the organization. A total of $380,000 was raised for all of the charities represented in the program.

Hosted by General Wesley Clark (ret.) and Samantha Harris, "Stars Earn Stripes" is an action-packed competition show that paid homage to the men and women who serve in the U.S. armed forces and our first-responder services. The star-studded cast included: four-time undefeated world boxing champion Laila Ali, actor Dean Cain ("Out of Time," "Five Days of War"), actor and former National Football League player Terry Crews ("The Expendables 2," "The Newsroom"), multi-platinum recording artist, actor, producer and television personality Nick Lachey (NBC's "The Sing-Off"), Alaska businessman and four-time Iron Dog snowmobile race champion Todd Palin, NBC's "The Biggest Loser" trainer Dolvett Quince, Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street, and the eventual winner, Eve Torres. The series premiered August 13 and aired for four broadcasts.

In this fast-paced competition, the eight celebrities gathered at a remote training facility where they were challenged to execute complicated missions inspired by real military exercises. From helicopter drops into water, to long range weapons fire, the contestants were tested physically, mentally and emotionally. Each was paired with a special operative from a military branch or one of our first-responder forces.

The operatives included Dale Comstock, a former U.S. Army Master Sergeant Delta Force and Green Beret; J.W. Cortes, a former U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant; Brent Gleeson, a former U.S. Navy SEAL; Chris Kyle, a former U.S. Navy SEAL sniper and best-selling author of "American Sniper"; Andrew McLaren, a former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant; Grady Powell, a former U.S. Army Green Beret; Tom Stroup, a SWAT Commander; and Talon Smith, a U.S. Navy Specialist. The operatives trained alongside their celebrity partner and competed in the missions with them. Each of the teams was playing on behalf of a veterans or first-responder charity.

The additional charities represented included The Military Child Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, The Pat Tillman Foundation, The Badge of Honor Memorial Foundation, Armed Services YMCA of Alaska, Got Your 6 and Hiring Our Heroes.

Committed to hiring recent vets on the crew, "Stars Earn Stripes" inspired other employers throughout the country to make similar commitments to our returning heroes and to show audiences just how incredible these heroes' service missions really are. Dick Wolf ("Law & Order," NBC's "Law & Order: SVU"), Mark Burnett (NBC's "The Voice," "Survivor") and David A. Hurwitz ("Fear Factor") serve as executive producers. The series is a production of Universal Television, One Three Media, Wolf Reality, LLC in association with Bill's Market & Television Productions.

As a WWE Divas Champion, Torres is a triple threat - boasting beauty, brains and ability. The WWE Diva is a spokeswoman and lead instructor at the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy and prior to beginning her career with the WWE, she earned a degree in industrial and systems engineering. With her blend of versatile fighting skills and in-ring intelligence, Torres has risen to the top of the division in a short time since winning the 2007 Diva Search. In 2010, she made history by becoming the first Diva Search winner to capture the Divas Championship when she shocked Maryse with a crafty reversal into an impressive bridge pin.
