NEW DAYTIME SYNDICATED SERIES "TRISHA GODDARD" PREMIERES MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2012

Trisha Brings Her Signature "Straight Talk, Warm Heart" Style to Daytime

STAMFORD - September 14, 2012 - Get ready to meet Trisha, international sensation and host of the new nationally syndicated daytime talk show "Trisha Goddard," premiering Monday, September 17th. Each weekday, Trisha will help everyday people and their families navigate through the tough issues they are struggling to overcome. She'll use her conflict resolution skills, along with honesty and common sense, to teach people how to move forward and push through life's obstacles.

"Trisha stands out by getting to the heart of the matter using her signature 'straight talk, warm heart'-style of interviewing," said Executive producer Paul Faulhaber. "Trisha has the perfect combination of training and life experiences mixed with compassion, intuition and charm."

Trisha Goddard is a mother of two and is best known for being the 'Queen of Chat' in the U.K. as host of her long-running hit talk show, "Trisha Goddard." Previously, Trisha lived and worked in Australia as a TV reporter and host (educational children's program "Play School" and primetime current affairs program, "7.30 Report") becoming the first black anchorwoman on Australian TV, and while there, Trisha also served as a government advisor on mental health. Trisha is currently involved in various mental health charities and organizations and continues to be an advocate helping to tackle the stigma on mental illness. Trisha was recently awarded the British College of Psychiatrist's President's International Medal of Service to Mental Health.

"My goal is to approach each guest and their story with a 360 degree perspective and not only get to the heart of the problem but also to plant the seeds of change with these families," said Trisha.

On premiere day, Monday, September 17, Trisha kicks things off by tackling family issues involving controlling men. J.B. (who likes to be called King J.B.) claims women are beneath men and were put on this earth to serve them. If his wife Chrissie doesn't obey all his rules, King J.B. penalizes her by withholding sex. Even more shocking is how King J.B. has indoctrinated their 10-year-old son. Later in the show, Trisha speaks to Robbie who is being mentally and physically abused by her boyfriend Chris who is also the father of her 4 year old daughter. The rest of the week, Trisha will cover topics including sex, lies and family secrets; troubled teen mothers; sexy job feuds; and adult children seeking paternity answers.

"Trisha Goddard" is distributed in national syndication by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and produced by Stamford Media Center Productions, the same production team behind several long-running and successful NBCU talk shows including "The Jerry Springer Show," "The Steve Wilkos Show" and "Maury."
