"MAGIC CITY" SIZZLES WITH NEW CAST MEMBERS TO KICK OFF SEASON TWO

LEGENDARY ACTOR JAMES CAAN JOINS THE ALLSTAR CAST

ESAI MORALES, SHERILYN FENN AND JAMIE HARRIS ALSO SET TO GUEST STAR

(Beverly Hills, Calif. - September 20, 2012) - Season Two of "Magic City" is underway and making a big splash in Miami adding several new cast members to its already impressive roster. Academy Award Nominee James Caan (The Godfather, Misery, "Las Vegas"), has joined the second season of the of the STARZ Original series which began production earlier this month in Miami, Florida. Caan will play Sy Berman, the head of the Chicago mob and Ben Diamond's (Danny Huston) boss. A father figure to Ben, Sy saw the potential in the young con and encouraged Ben's criminal talents -- creating "The Butcher." Unbeknownst to Ben, Sy also has a secret connection to Ben's wife Lily (Jessica Marais).

Decorated actor James Caan is known for several roles, but his performance as Sonny Corleone in "The Godfather" franchise is one of the most iconic and legendary cinema characters of all time. He now joins a series inspired by that very film and will have the chance to reconnect with "The Godfather" trilogy alum, Alex Rocco, who played Moe Greene in the 1972 Academy Award winning film, and plays Arthur Evans, father to Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character, in "Magic City."

Esai Morales ("Caprica," La Bamba) also joins the series as Carlos "El Tiburon" Ruiz, a former rebel who fought beside Castro, a hero to the Cubans and is now working to free Cuba from the man he once considered to be like a brother.

Sherilyn Fenn ("Twin Peaks," "Gilmore Girls") stars as Madame Renee, a beautiful former call-girl who runs a brothel that Ben Diamond financially backs. She's a tough woman who can hold her own against "The Butcher" and proves to be one of the mob boss' more valuable assets.

Jamie Harris (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) plays "Nicky Grillo," the tough, cocaine-snorting mob guy from Tampa with a volatile temper and a secret past.

Season two of "Magic City" will also see the return of creator and executive producer Mitch Glazer (The Recruit, Scrooged) as well as cast members Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, "Grey's Anatomy") whose recent film The Possession held the number spot at the box office three weeks in a row, Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Max Payne), Danny Huston (The Kingdom, Children of Men, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Kelly Lynch (Drugstore Cowboy, Charlie's Angels), Steven Strait (City Island), Christian Cooke (Cemetery Junction), Jessica Marais ("Packed to the Rafters"), Yul Vazquez (The A-Team, American Gangster), Dominik Garcia-Lorido (City Island) and Elena Satine (Just Go With It).

Along with Mitch Glazer, Geyer Kosinski (Changeling, The Astronaut Farmer) and Fred Berner ("Law & Order," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent") serve as executive producers.

Season two of "Magic City" will air exclusively on STARZ in 2013.
