Exclusive: ABC Family to Premiere "Home Alone: The Holiday Heist," "Secret Life of the American Teenager" Christmas Special in November

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC Family will countdown to its annual "25 Days of Christmas" December stunt with a pair of original offerings in November.

First up: a special one-off Christmas episode of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" on Monday, November 19 at 8:00/7:00c. Leading into the telecast will be an all-day marathon beginning at 11:00 AM ET.

Then look for "Home Alone: The Holiday Heist," the fifth installment in the "Home Alone" franchise, on Sunday, November 25 at 8:00/7:00c. Originally dubbed "Alone in the Dark," the film stars Christian Martyn as eight-year-old Finn, who's left home alone with his sister (Jodelle Ferland) while their parents are stranded across town. Malcolm McDowell, Debi Mazar and Eddie Steeples co-star as a group of thieves who have targeted Finn's house.

Peter Hewitt directed the Fox Television Studios-based project from a script by Aaron Ginsburg and Wade McIntyre.
