Burbank, CA (September 25, 2012) - ABC Family premieres the bone-chilling thriller "The Mummy," starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, airing on Sunday, October 7th at 7pm ET/PT. An encore showing airs at 9:30pm ET/PT.

In "The Mummy," American adventurer Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) teams up with an archaeologist (Rachel Weisz) and her bumbling brother (John Hannah) to stop an evil mummy they accidentally brought back to life. Imhotep, once an Egyptian high priest, was buried alive after murdering Pharaoh Seti I and trying to run off with his wife. Now Imhotep is resurrected and determined to exact his revenge and reclaim his love - at any cost.
