HGTV SHOWCASES CELEBS AND FAMOUS HOUSES IN SIX SPECIALS PREMIERING THIS WINTER

NEW YORK - Wednesday, Nov. 28 - This winter, beginning Dec. 7, HGTV is featuring six glamorous specials highlighting celebrities and their A-list dwellings, from mansions and luxurious movie set trailers to a famous 16th century castle in Great Britain and America's best-known home, the White House. HGTV decks the halls with Hollywood celebrities like Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke, and tours the places stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Kellie Pickler call home when they are on the road and on set. Viewers can also take a peek into some famous houses, including the former home of the Queen of Pop, Madonna, the home of America's first family and the lavish estates of Great Britain's most notable families, one of which can be seen on a critically-acclaimed PBS series.

"We're ready to dazzle viewers with a celebrity-packed line up of programming this winter," said HGTV's General Manager Kathleen Finch. "These specials feature today's biggest stars on the big and small screen, as well as musicians from all genres. Even the history buff has something to look forward to as we head 'across the pond' to visit the authentic castle that serves as the set of the popular series Downton Abbey. We are aiming to please the tastes of every HGTV viewer in the coming months with specials that are not just holiday-themed, but that also speak to America's celebrity-centric culture."

HGTV is excited to bring back two new installments of Celebrity Holiday Homes, airing Friday, Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT and Friday, Dec. 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. In each of these one-hour specials, former HGTV Design Star winners decorate the homes of celebrities like Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider, Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke, R&B singer Bebe Winans, actress Haylie Duff, comedian Lisa Lampanelli and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit actress Tamara Tunie in preparation for the holidays. From the current homes of the stars, to the former homes of the Hollywood elite, I Bought A Famous House, premiering Friday, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, takes viewers inside homes previously owned by A-list celebrities like Madonna and Frank Sinatra. Find out who lives in these homes now and if they kept the celebrity-owners' tastes incorporated throughout the spaces.

Jumping across the country from Hollywood to Nashville, Tenn., HGTV takes a look at the homes, apartments and tour buses of country music's biggest legends and rising stars in Country Stars at Home, premiering Friday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Catch a glimpse of the luxurious big city apartments of LeAnn Rimes and Clay Walker, and go inside the rocking tour buses of artists like Kellie Pickler, Dierks Bentley and Amy Grant to see how these stars live it up on the road. And of course, tour the larger-than-life Nashville homes of Naomi Judd, George Jones, Danny Gokey and Trace Adkins. Trace will also be featured in the first of two Celebrity Motor Homes specials, premiering Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 5 p.m. ET/PT and 5:30 p.m. ET/PT. These half-hour specials are offering viewers an exclusive, all-access pass to some of the most outrageous homes on wheels. A few of the homes-away-from-home featured during these two half-hour specials include the tour buses of musicians Bret Michaels and Trace Adkins, the movie set trailer of Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio and more.

HGTV transitions from famous people to famous houses as host Taniya Nayak tours the most recognizable home in America, the White House. In the one-hour special White House Christmas Through The Years, premiering Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. ET/PT, HGTV travels through the decades to visit with everyone from White House Christmas past and present to show viewers what it takes to decorate the most important home in the country.

Another famous house that's won over the hearts of many is Highclere Castle, the setting of the award-winning PBS series Downton Abbey. This 16th century castle near Newbury, UK, is one of three stunning royal residences that will be featured in Castles On Camera: Royal Residences on TV, premiering Friday, Jan. 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Other notable manor houses to be toured in the one-hour special include Althorpe, the Spencer family residence and the childhood home of Princess Diana, and Cliveden House, a stately manor that was a favorite of public figures and celebrities such as former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, English comic actor Sir Charlie Chaplin, legendary musician John Lennon and President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
