LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- TV Land has pulled the plug on "Retired at 35" after two seasons, its first scripted cancellation since getting into said business in June 2010 with "Hot in Cleveland."
The news, which was broken by Deadline.com, comes on the heels of today's renewals of "The Soul Man" and "The Exes."
"Retired at 35" opened its second season on Tuesday nights at 10:00/9:00c - TV Land's first scripted effort outside Wednesday nights - where it posted original lows for the network in three successive weeks (606,000, 531,000 and 450,000 viewers, respectively).
The channel subsequently shifted the series back to Wednesdays in the late-night slot of 11:00/10:00c.
