ABC News Announces Special Coverage for the State of the Union Address

ABC NEWS ANNOUNCES SPECIAL COVERAGE FOR THE STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS

Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos to Anchor Coverage of the State of the Union and the Republican Response Beginning at 9:00 p.m., ET on Tuesday, February 12

ABC News to Live-Stream Anchored Coverage on ABCNews.com, Yahoo!, YouTube and OTUSNews.com

ABC News will broadcast President Barack Obama's State of the Union address live TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2013. Coverage will begin at 9:00 p.m., ET (6:00 p.m., PT) and will include the Republican response to be given by Sen. Marco Rubio.

Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos will anchor live coverage from Washington, where they will be joined by members of ABC's powerhouse political team, including Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl and Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz reporting from the Capitol; ABC News Senior National Correspondent Jim Avila; ABC News Special Correspondent and political analyst Matthew Dowd, George Will, Donna Brazile and Nicolle Wallace, providing insights and analysis.

On Tuesday, Diane Sawyer will anchor "World News" from Washington, DC. After the speech, Terry Moran will anchor "Nightline" from Washington. The following morning, George Stephanopoulos will co-anchor "Good Morning America" from Washington and will have all the highlights of the President's speech, plus reaction and analysis.

ABC News Digital will stream live, anchored coverage of the President's State of the Union address and the Republican response on ABCNews.com, Yahoo! News, GoodMorningAmerica.com, ABC News' iPad & iPhone apps, ABC affiliate websites, as well as on the ABC News YouTube channel. The ABC political team will provide extensive reporting throughout the evening at ABCNews.com and OTUSNews.com.

ABC News and Yahoo! News' special State of the Union 2013 live stream coverage anchored by ABC News Correspondent Dan Harris and Yahoo! News Chief Washington Correspondent Olivier Knox kicks off on Tuesday, February 12 with a 10-minute pre-show at 8:50 p.m., ET followed by continuous coverage of the President's speech and a 30-minute post-show wrap-up. Harris and Knox will be joined by ABC News Senior National Correspondent Jim Avila, ABC Correspondent Reena Ninan and Digital Correspondent Dan Kloeffler, as well as ABC's all-star team of political reporters and analysts. Kloeffler will have real-time reaction of the speech from Google+ Hangouts. Coverage will also feature social analysis and on-the-ground reporting from Yahoo! News' Phoebe Connelly, Jeff Greenfield and Beth Fouhy, along with a lineup of guest contributors and Washington insiders.

On Wednesday, February 13 ABC News and Yahoo! News will stream a special post-show "After: The State of the Union 2013" anchored by ABC's Dan Kloeffler and Yahoo!'s Phoebe Connelly at 10:00 a.m., ET.

Each day leading up to President Obama's State of the Union address, ABCNews.com is asking a different newsmaker about what they think "The State of the Union is...".

ABC News Radio will provide extensive coverage of the State of the Union Address and the Republican response starting at 9:00 p.m., ET anchored by ABC News Correspondent Aaron Katersky, with ABC News White House Correspondent Ann Compton, ABC News Correspondent Vic Ratner on Capitol Hill, ABC News Radio Correspondent Steven Portnoy and ABC News political analysts Sam Donaldson, Steve Roberts and Trey Hardin. Prior to the President's address, ABC News Radio will provide a one-hour special at 8:06 p.m., ET that examines issues President Obama is expected to discuss.

ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliate news service, will provide live reports from correspondents Karen Travers and Marci Gonzalez on Capitol Hill and offer analysis from ABC News political analyst Cokie Roberts for more than 200 ABC affiliates and clients.
