CELEBRATE A BIG NIGHT OF MUSIC WITH A SUPER-SIZED 90-MINUTE "AMERICAN IDOL" AND A SPECIAL "GLEE" 500TH MUSICAL PERFORMANCE MILESTONE ON AN EXTENDED PRIMETIME THURSDAY, MARCH 7 ON FOX

On Thursday, March 7, FOX rocks with an evening of music that kicks off with a special 90-minute episode of AMERICAN IDOL (8:00-9:30 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) when America's votes are tallied and the Season 12 finalists are revealed LIVE. Then, in a special extended prime, GLEE (9:30-10:30 PM ET/PT) takes center stage and celebrates "Animal House"-style, when the members of New Directions perform the classic R&B hit "Shout," marking the hit series' 500th musical performance.

In the super-sized 90-minute episode of AMERICAN IDOL (8:00-9:30 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), America's votes will be announced and fans will finally find out who will advance to the finals and who will go home. Don't miss the reactions of judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban, along with host Ryan Seacrest, when the results are revealed LIVE from Los Angeles.

In the "Girls (And Boys) on Film" episode of GLEE (9:30-10:30 PM ET/PT), airing at a special time, the glee club's latest assignment is to choose a song from a movie and the members of New Directions sing the hit series' landmark 500th musical performance with their rendition of the "Animal House" anthem "Shout." Meanwhile in New York, Santana (Naya Rivera) makes herself at home in the loft a little too quickly for Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt's (Chris Colfer) comfort.
